Kasemsak Tranucharat (1952 - 2007)
Kasemsak Tranucharat was born in 1952 in Khon Kaen but lived and worked in Chiang Mai. He was one of the artists whose creations reflect the life of man. The essence of "Human Being" is the presentation of man as an individual, as a spiritual being and as an ordinary man with his usual desires of love, hatred, greed and obsession.
From his personal experience, Kasemsak observed the changes in human behavior as affected by worldly development which he believed has degenerated man. His works reflect the consequence of change in a manner that is not satirical but rather posed as a straight forward question for the viewer to ponder.
